Venue Showcase at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly

Our venue partnership with BAFTA 195 Piccadilly was a chance to bring a new audience of event planners, clients and colleagues to see a space they may not have had the opportunity to visit before. We invited a selection of London based event colleagues to an evening of drinks, canapés and entertainment.

Guests arrived into the building and headed up to the first floor to receive champagne, cocktails and canapés in the Ray Dolby Room and Piccadilly Bar, accompanied by a very talented solo violinist. A hula hoop champagne pourer was in central position entertaining and serving the crowds with her enviable core strength and incredibly steady hand. The live illustrator was capturing the profiles of guests, giving each one a memento of their visit to take home. 

After welcome speeches, we opened the upper floors of the Creative and Future Galleries, Reuben Gallery and Richard Attenborough Rooms. The latter usually operates as the Members Bar & Restaurant but is available for lounge style events for up to 150 people. It has a unique glass vaulted ceiling, an art deco aesthetic, beautiful wooden flooring, which together create a warm and inviting atmosphere for drinks and dancing.

In the Creative and Future Galleries, we offered two cocktails: Old Fashioneds and Espresso Martinis for guests to enjoy whilst they hovered, never far from the ice cream, dessert and cheese stations put out for guests. Meanwhile, the talented trio and London based group, Pocket Jukebox, played live. 

Guests enjoyed exploring the Princess Anne Theatre, discovering the patrons’ plaques on the seats, a few from some very well known BAFTA members. 

Every space has the capability to be used as a stand-alone venue, or in conjunction with an adjacent one. By the time the sun went down and the evening concluded, guests were fully making use of all the spaces, enjoying the dynamic layout of all the rooms that flow seamlessly from one to the other. Each space created its own party atmosphere whether around the bar or the entertainment, adding to the collective sense of a venue that was buzzing with energy.
