Kent 50th Birthday
To create an elegant evening full of constant surprises, entertainment and intensity. To give each guest, no matter how long they are at the event, the feeling of wonder; of being transported to another world, of stepping out of reality, if only for a brief moment.
In such a beautiful setting, we wanted to avoid using a structure that detracted from the stunning surroundings. Nothing was fitting the bill, so we designed and built a 30 meter long and 12m wide pergola to sit temporarily on the lawns. Dripping with wisteria, this perfectly housed the reception with roving acoustic music, flowing wine and canapé masterpieces crafted by Raymond Blanc and his team. Down the bankside staircase for dinner, guests were transported to a seductive, opulent dining experience celebrating food, music and floral compositions.
“Drum Roll please!!” From the LED Drummers who led the procession back to the pergola, which was now sparkling with fairy lights, candle globes and hanging lanterns. The garden was resplendent in colour; up lights carved out the hedges and threw arcs of light on the house. Dancing to a live performance from Mika and the grand finale ensued: a remarkable light projection show from the ever-impressive Marble Collective member, Rupert Newman.
