Tally and Alex’s London Wedding

Flowers were, and are, very personal to this couple. As a result it was imperative that the bride’s family garden was incorporated into the wedding in some way. Along with this, the couple wanted the wedding to feel like a relaxed and beautiful extension of their home, as though they were having one large supper party in the garden for everyone they loved.
The result was beautiful. Show stopping flowers welcomed friends and family into the church for an incredibly intimate service. Guests were then transported back to the family home in classic red London buses, sucking on ‘Pops’ ice lollies and rocking out to old love songs. The arrival into the family’s transformed garden, now encased in an overhead structure (did it really rain throughout the whole evening?) and smelling intensely of flowers, sparked reactions of “is this really your back garden…?”. Flowers galore, beautiful table settings, delicious food and flowing drink – what more could you want?
After heartfelt speeches, guests returned to the revamped reception area (clever lighting designs go a long way) for the first dance and party that ensued. A 10 piece band, including an individual stage for the drummer in the flower beds, fuelled guests late into the night with a slick transition into a DJ set and encore that seemed unable to end. Guests only paused with the arrival of chicken nuggets and McDonalds burgers. Oh what a night!
