Country Wedding in Leicestershire, Italian Theme
On an estate in Leicestershire, suppliers came together to create an Italian piazza for a wedding reception, bringing the charm of a quaint Italian village to life. The stables were transformed into village shops, including a pharmacy, chiropractor, cigar shop, butcher & wine shop, pizza restaurant, café and even a pasta making workshop.
The awnings were striped, the tomatoes ripe and there was an amazing buzz to the proceedings. Guests were greeted by a doctor and nurse on arrival and asked to complete a “medical form” – a fun and unique way to register each guest before stepping into village life! The clearspan marquee allowed the summer sunshine to come through and our floating cloud decorations created a dreamy atmosphere. The beautiful Mediterranean colour pallet along with citrus and olive tree decor added just the right touches to bring just the right amount of ‘Italian summer’ energy to the party.
Guests were serenaded by opera singers while enjoying Italian delicacies while a live illustrator captured caricatures of guests. The party then moved out to the field for a festival vibe, with a line up of incredible musical entertainment: Caitlin (band) performed, followed by live karaoke with the Brass Funkies, The Kooks performed a brilliant set, and Klingande ended the festival party.
While everyone was dancing the night away, the Italian piazza was transformed for a sit down meal. Escala played during the meal, before Jodie Harsh and her dancers got everyone back on the dance floor, and DJ Sally Kettle closed the night in style.
